Dembélé reassures everyone: ‘I’m fine’
Ousmane Dembélé confirmed that his injury is not serious, bringing relief to Paris Saint-Germain fans.
Dembélé scored the only goal in Paris Saint-Germain’s crucial match against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, securing a 1-0 victory for his team ahead of the second leg next Wednesday in the French capital.
Dembélé has been the most dangerous player for his team in 2025, directly contributing to 30 goals—more than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues. This led Arsenal fans to feel some relief when he was substituted in the 70th minute, limping off while the game’s outcome was still uncertain.
With just eight days left until the decisive match at Parc des Princes, all eyes will be on Dembélé to determine the severity of his injury and his likelihood of playing.
The player himself gave a brief update as he left the Emirates Stadium to board the team bus. He told French outlet L’Équipe: “I felt something, but I’m okay.”
Luis Enrique provided more details in the post-match press conference, confirming concerns about the star’s availability for next week’s game. Enrique said: “He will be tested tomorrow. It’s nothing serious, very minor, but his status for the return leg is uncertain.
We will try to get Dembélé back on the pitch, but we are a real team. If Ousmane can play, great. If not, we are still a real team. We’ve said this since the start of the season.”
