According to reports, the passing of the Pope in Vatican City at the age of 88 on Easter Monday has led to the postponement of all Italian football matches scheduled for that day. As a result, all Serie A, Serie B, Serie C, Serie D, and Primavera matches have been officially postponed until further notice.

Among the scheduled Serie A matches were Torino vs. Udinese, Cagliari vs. Fiorentina, Genoa vs. Lazio, and Parma vs. Juventus. It remains unclear when these matches will be rescheduled. However, according to regulations, these matches must be played before the final week of the season, currently scheduled for May 25.

Additionally, Italian media reports suggest that the remaining Coppa Italia semi-final matches may also be affected. Currently, the status of these matches awaits an official decision from the organizing body.

Currently, the first leg between Inter Milan and AC Milan ended in a 1-1 draw, with the return leg scheduled for Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bologna, who won the first leg 3-0 against Empoli, is set to host the return leg on Thursday at their home stadium.

Given the circumstances, a rescheduling of these matches is not unexpected, and everyone awaits an official announcement.
