Power Outage Disrupts Atlético Madrid’s Training Session!
Several Atlético Madrid players were unable to attend the team’s Monday training session due to a widespread power outage in Spain!
According to reports, Atlético Madrid resumed training on Monday afternoon, but the session was affected by a major power outage that impacted Spain, Portugal, and several other European countries. Several players couldn’t make it to the training ground.
Players such as Julián Álvarez, Rodrigo De Paul, Nahuel Molina, Marcos Llorente, Conor Gallagher, and Rodrigo Riquelme, along with some members of the coaching staff, were absent from training. It’s worth noting that after the last training session on Friday morning, Diego Simeone had given the players the weekend off, which most used to travel outside Madrid.
However, since some players were in Ibiza, Andalusia, or other countries, the widespread blackout on Monday morning caused flight cancellations and delays, preventing them from returning to Madrid on time.
Despite Diego Simeone also having left Spain (he traveled to Naples to visit his son, Giovanni), he managed to return in time to attend the training session.
