First training, then fun. After an intense morning session on Tuesday, RB Leipzig players enjoyed a unique and entertaining afternoon activity.
RB Leipzig, along with their coaching staff, visited the paintball facility “Area13” in Paunsdorf for a team-bonding session. The activity was designed to strengthen unity and camaraderie as the team pushes for a UEFA Champions League qualification spot. In paintball, players use air guns to shoot colored pellets at opponents, which can reach speeds of up to 250 km/h.
This Saturday, RB Leipzig will face Holstein Kiel, the bottom-placed team in the Bundesliga, in a must-win match. Securing three points is crucial ahead of tough upcoming fixtures against Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern Munich.
RB Leipzig returned to fourth place in the Bundesliga after a win against Wolfsburg and favorable results from rivals. Lois Openda, the 24-year-old striker, said ahead of the decisive fixtures: “We are back in the position we wanted. From now on, it’s a one-way road. The remaining five matches are all finals.”
He added: “Many teams are chasing us, but we must focus on our game and not look at them. If we play our football, everything will be fine.”
Player Updates:
Captain Willi Orbán, who missed the Wolfsburg match due to muscle issues, trained individually earlier this week. David Raum, also dealing with muscle discomfort, spent most of the session indoors. Kevin Kampl and Lukas Klostermann followed separate programs due to muscle fatigue.
On a positive note, Yussuf Poulsen has fully reintegrated into team training after recovering from a thigh injury sustained in late November. The striker successfully completed his first full session with the squad.
