According to reports, Szczęsny continues to shine as Barcelona’s first-choice goalkeeper. Thanks to his outstanding performances, the Polish shot-stopper is making history in just four months since becoming the club’s starting keeper.

Since his debut on January 4th in the Copa del Rey, Szczęsny has played 22 matches for Barcelona, recording 19 wins and only three draws—against Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League, Atlético Madrid in the Copa del Rey semifinals, and Real Betis in La Liga.

If he avoids defeat this Wednesday against Dortmund in the Champions League quarterfinal second leg, he will equal the third-longest unbeaten start in Barcelona’s history—a record held by none other than Johan Cruyff, who went 23 consecutive matches unbeaten in the 1970s.

Leading this list is Cesc Fàbregas with 30 unbeaten matches, followed by Brazilian Paulinho with 25.

Beyond his 22-game unbeaten streak, Szczęsny has also kept 12 clean sheets. In total, he has conceded only 18 goals in these matches, maintaining an exceptional average of 0.81 goals conceded per game.
