Mohamed Salah, standing alongside Virgil van Dijk in a post-match interview, urged the Dutch star to renew his contract as soon as possible.

When asked about the dramatic final moments of the match, Salah said: “Well, I was on the bench (laughs), but when you’re on the sidelines, those moments feel even tougher. Still, I’m glad we won in the end. That’s what matters most.”

Salah further explained why Liverpool struggled against West Ham: “They are a good team with a clear game plan, and they executed it well. But at this stage of the season, winning is everything, and we managed to pull through, especially in the final moments.”

Salah then shifted the conversation to Van Dijk’s contract renewal. When asked about his own contract extension and his assist in the match, he replied: “I’m happy I renewed my contract, and I hope Virgil is next. I don’t want to say too much—don’t put words in my mouth (laughs).”

When the reporter told Van Dijk, “Virgil, Salah has already made the decision for you,” the Liverpool captain seemed to confirm Salah’s remarks, saying: “Everyone knows how much I love this club. Let’s see what happens.”
