Sami Al-Jaber Lists Al-Hilal’s Surplus Players: Kalidou Koulibaly!
Sami Al-Jaber, the former star of Al-Hilal, called for major changes in the team’s lineup after their defeat against Al-Ahli in the AFC Champions League semi-finals.
According to reports, Sami Al-Jaber, who spoke on a TV program after Al-Hilal’s 3-1 defeat against Al-Ahli at Al-Nama Stadium, expressed his disappointment with the result and said: “In the current Al-Hilal squad, only four foreign players deserve to stay for the next season: Yassine Bounou, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinković-Savić, and Aleksandar Mitrović.”
He emphasized the need for a team rebuild and added: “The other foreign players must leave, and Al-Hilal should sign top-level players who can help the team regain its rightful position.”
Sami Al-Jaber also named five specific players who should leave in the summer transfer window: “Kalidou Koulibaly, Renan Lodi, Malcolm Filipe, Marcos Leonardo, and Caio César have not performed acceptably and should be let go.”
It is worth noting that Al-Hilal’s defeat against Al-Ahli came in the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League, with Al-Ahli securing a 3-1 victory to advance to the final.
