Sepp Blatter: It's Not Just FIFA, the Entire World is Corrupt!

According to reports, Sepp Blatter, the former president of FIFA, criticized recent developments in football and expressed dissatisfaction with FIFA’s current management under Gianni Infantino.

The 89-year-old Blatter, who led FIFA from 1998 to 2015, believes football today is under excessive pressure. He stated: “The match calendar is overcrowded, players are under pressure, sponsors are under pressure, fans are under pressure—everything has gone too far. This situation also comes with significant costs.”

Blatter also pointed to rising ticket prices and broadcasting fees, adding: “Tickets have become more expensive, and live TV broadcast fees have followed suit. We’ve reached a point where we must say enough is enough and stop this trend.” He expressed dissatisfaction with current sports policies, saying: “I don’t approve of this type of management, but I can’t change it because other people are in charge now.”

In another part of the interview, Blatter addressed corruption, offering a different perspective. He described FIFA as a mirror of society and said: “Corruption exists worldwide. It stems from envy, greed, and hatred. The entire global society is corrupt, not just FIFA. I must admit, though I long denied it, FIFA is also caught up in this corruption.”

Blatter, who was ousted from FIFA in 2015 over corruption allegations and faced a lengthy ban, still believes that FIFA’s corruption is part of a larger global problem. These remarks come as FIFA under Infantino’s leadership has faced criticism over its packed schedule and its impact on players and fans.
