Slot Dedicates Victory and Sings for Klopp!
Arne Slot, Liverpool’s manager, paid tribute to former coach Jurgen Klopp by singing alongside fans after securing the Premier League title.
According to reports, Liverpool secured their first league title since 2020 with a dominant 5-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday. Slot remained composed throughout the match as his team overwhelmed Spurs.
During the celebrations at Anfield, Slot emotionally joined fans in singing Klopp’s famous chant.
The Dutch manager took the microphone and addressed the crowd after the title was confirmed. This marked the first time since 1990 that fans witnessed a league title celebration at Anfield.
Klopp stepped down as Liverpool manager last summer. After his final win against Wolverhampton, he urged fans to embrace his successor by singing his name.
On Sunday, Slot returned the favor by singing loudly into the microphone: “Jurgen Klopp, la la la.” The chant—set to the melody of Opus’s “Life Is Life”—captivated fans, who echoed Klopp’s name from all corners of Anfield.
One Liverpool fan reacted on social media: “This is a true legacy.” Another said, “This celebration is for you, Jurgen. We can never thank you enough for what you did for us.” A supporter added, “This moment brought me to tears,” while another wrote, “I’m genuinely crying—what a great football club!”
