The Strangest Contract Extension of the Year at Juventus!
Arkadiusz Milik, who hasn’t played a single minute for Juventus this season, has had his contract extended until 2027.
According to reports, few expected Arkadiusz Milik to extend his contract with Juventus until 2027. The Polish striker has not played a single minute this season and is unlikely to feature until the summer. The 31-year-old is still recovering from muscle injuries sustained during training.
Gazzetta reported that despite Milik having no role in Juventus’ sporting plans, his contract has been strategically extended for another year. This extension spreads the remaining salary from his previous contract over the next two seasons, likely for financial sustainability reasons. However, there is a possibility that the striker and Juventus may agree to terminate the contract in the future.
Juventus currently sits in fourth place in Serie A with 62 points, the last Champions League qualification spot. However, they are only three points ahead of Fiorentina, who are eighth with 59 points.
