I Don’t Expect a Major Leap from Juve
Tudor: We Have a Team That Drew Against Inter
Juventus coach Igor Tudor stated in the pre-match press conference against Parma that their current position should not make them complacent, as they put up a strong performance against Serie A leaders Inter Milan.
Juventus, revitalized under Igor Tudor, has shown improved performances in recent weeks and will face Parma on Monday night. Juventus currently sits in fourth place, fighting for a Champions League spot, while Parma, in 16th, is battling to avoid relegation.
Igor Tudor addressed the media in a press conference.
What have you worked on this week? How is the team’s condition? “First, I want to congratulate Juventus Women for their sixth title. My regards to the club, coach, and team. This week, we trained with minor issues. Yildiz trained lightly, and his condition will be assessed tomorrow. Kostic also trained but is unlikely to play. M’Bala Nzola and Gatti are also unavailable.”
Do you have alternative plans for the attack? “There is no Plan A or B. We must select players who are ready because we face a team in good form that drew against Inter and Fiorentina.”
What about set pieces? “Yes, we worked more on that. But I must say we lack some qualities in set pieces. Experience and expertise are limited. We are trying to improve quickly. I’ve seen enthusiasm in the team. I hope we perform better.”
How has Nicolò Fagioli performed? “He is a very happy and motivated boy. His Argentine mentality is always positive. He can play in two or three positions and has much room for improvement. Having him in the team is fantastic.”
Did you speak to players who underperformed as substitutes against Lecce? “I didn’t address anything specific. We talked normally, without exaggeration. The players were self-aware and motivated to improve.”
Is the team ready to play with Vlahović and Milik? “We’ll see. It might happen or not. Milik trained well, but so did others. Chiesa is also in good form. We’ll see.”
What do you expect from Juventus? “I don’t expect any leap; you said that. I expect a great game. I expect my team to perform exceptionally. We shouldn’t think they’ll wait for us because they put Inter under pressure and got a draw.”
