Vinicius Jr. Even Angry at Bernabeu! (Photo)
Despite Federico Valverde’s crucial late winner, Vinicius Jr. chose not to join his teammates’ celebrations.
Real Madrid secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao thanks to Federico Valverde’s spectacular late strike, maintaining their four-point lead over Barcelona in La Liga’s 32nd round.
Vinicius Jr., unlike in their Champions League defeat to Arsenal last week, was one of Real’s standout performers, creating several chances and even scoring a stunning goal that was narrowly ruled offside.
The most notable incident occurred after Valverde’s winner when Vinicius refused to join the celebration, likely due to recent criticism from fans and whistles directed at him during the match, as well as a Marca poll where nearly 60,000 respondents supported his sale.
Vinicius appeared frustrated throughout the match and didn’t approach the fans after the final whistle.
While Vinicius’s passion and leadership are undeniable, Real Madrid should address his behavior soon. The same behavior that’s gradually turning Santiago Bernabeu against him. Confronting Real Madrid fans is certainly not a good idea for Vinicius.
