According to reports, after Robert Lewandowski’s brace against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals last Wednesday, he is just one goal away from reaching 100 goals with Barcelona. However, he failed to achieve this target in the match against Leganés, and it seems unlikely he will reach this milestone in the second leg at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday.

Before the final training session at the match venue, Lewandowski was seen speaking with head coach Hansi Flick, his assistant Marcos Sorg, and fitness coach Pepe Conde. During the conversation, the Polish striker was seen touching the back of his left thigh.

Initially, given that he had started in Barcelona’s last three consecutive matches and considering the 4-0 victory in the first leg, it was expected that Lewandowski would be benched for Tuesday’s match against Dortmund. In that case, Ferran Torres would likely replace him—a player currently in peak form and Barcelona’s fourth-highest scorer this season.

    Lewandowski injury concern

Based on the image published by Mundo Deportivo, the likelihood of Lewandowski missing the starting lineup has increased, and it appears he will be rested for Barcelona’s La Liga match against Celta Vigo on Saturday at Montjuïc Stadium.
