AC Milan 0-1 Bologna: Historic Victory After 51 Years!

In the final of the Coppa Italia, Bologna secured a historic 1-0 victory over AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Vincenzo Italiano’s men claimed their third-ever Coppa Italia title, while AC Milan, under Sergio Conceicao, missed the chance to secure a domestic double this season.

Despite the departure of Thiago Motta at the start of the season and their struggles in the UEFA Champions League, Italiano transformed Bologna into one of Italy’s most formidable teams in the second half of the season.

Bologna dominated possession from the start, but AC Milan created the first major chance in the 10th minute, saved brilliantly by Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski.

Bologna responded with two clear chances towards the end of the first half, but Mike Maignan’s saves kept the score level at 0-0.

The second half saw Bologna continue their dominance, and Dan Ndoye broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute with a clinical finish.

AC Milan pushed for an equalizer, but Bologna’s organized defense held firm. Despite late pressure, Bologna secured a historic 1-0 victory, lifting the Coppa Italia for the first time in over five decades.
