According to reports, Gimenez spoke extensively about his life at AC Milan after his high-profile transfer from Feyenoord in January, making some interesting remarks.

The Mexican international revealed that before leaving Feyenoord, he and a few teammates formed a group called the ‘Breakfast Club,’ where they arrived at the training complex much earlier than usual. By the end of his time in the Netherlands, almost the entire Feyenoord team was following this program.

He told Sports Illustrated: “When we started the Breakfast Club at Feyenoord, there were only two or three of us at first. But by the end, almost the whole team was coming in before breakfast to train. Now at Milan, I’m alone, but I’ll gradually attract others too.”

The player also revealed that after every match, he works with a personal video analyst to identify and fix his weaknesses. He said: “I like to come to training focused, aware, and prepared, working on the areas where I’ve underperformed. I take a lot of notes, which helps with video analysis and reviewing my performance. After every game, I write down what I did well, what I did poorly, and I give myself a grade.

I have a video analyst. I play, and he immediately starts analyzing to be ready for the next day. He prepares a 15-minute video summarizing the game. He includes all my actions and says: ‘Here you did well, but you should have shot with your right foot.’

I’ve also taken a statistical analysis course and categorize my stats based on results. Every three months, I do a full analysis of duels won, duels lost, dribbles, shots, etc. If I see a stat has dropped or improved, I try to focus on that area and make progress.”
