Reports on Friday indicated a serious crisis regarding ticket sales for the AFC Champions League final between Al-Ahli Jeddah and Kawasaki Frontale of Japan.

Football fans will turn their attention to the “Al-Inma” Stadium in Jeddah on Saturday evening, where the first AFC Champions League final under the new format will take place.

According to the Saudi newspaper “Okaz,” Al-Ahli fans have been waiting for a new batch of tickets to be released, but so far, their wait has been in vain.

The newspaper added: Tickets were initially released on Wednesday evening but sold out within minutes. New batches were expected to be released yesterday and today, but this has not happened yet.

Okaz also noted that only a very small percentage of tickets remain and will be released in the coming hours, but they are expected to sell out quickly due to high demand.

Al-Ahli reached the final after a decisive 3-1 victory over Al-Hilal in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Kawasaki Frontale pulled off a surprise by defeating Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, 3-2 to advance to the final.
