Al-Ahli’s European Championship Celebration with Open-Top Bus
Al-Ahli players celebrated their championship on the shores of Jeddah.
In front of one of the famous hotels on the Jeddah Corniche, the open-top bus of the AFC Champions League winners began its journey, passing through various coastal routes of Jeddah. The streets were covered in green, echoing the chants of Al-Ahli fans, creating a memorable celebration. The head of the club’s fan association led the festivities—a night that will undoubtedly remain in the hearts of the Green Castle’s supporters for years to come.
The Al-Ahli fan association also accompanied the players and technical staff, including head coach Matthias Jaissle, on a separate bus. The two-bus caravan started precisely at 8 PM, moving towards the Jeddah shoreline—a route that also passed through the famous “Al-Safina” square overlooking the Red Sea.
During the joyful caravan, the atmosphere was filled with lively music, team chants, and green and white smoke, immersing the surroundings in celebration. One of the most beautiful moments was when players sang along with the fans—where Merih Demiral, Iván, and Elioški performed chants, spreading special enthusiasm to the crowd. Elioški sang the famous chant “Lil-Ahli Jina,” while Iván and Demiral performed their well-known chants alongside the passionate crowd.
Players wore special jerseys with the word “Champions” in solid green. The celebration lasted about two hours, ending where it began. On the sidelines, the Jeddah sky lit up with a stunning drone light show—a spectacle that doubled the grandeur of the champions’ bus passing along the shore.
Earlier, Al-Ahli players had held a grand celebration at the “Al-Jawhara” (Shining Jewel) Stadium on the night of their championship—a victory in the AFC Champions League, which they described as the beginning of a new era of achievements for the club.
