Al-Nassr Fans Against Ronaldo: ‘We Don’t Want You Anymore!’

Al-Nassr fans are extremely dissatisfied with Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance and are demanding his departure from the club.

    Al-Nassr Fans Against Ronaldo

According to reports, Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in the winter of 2023 after disagreements with Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. His arrival sparked a wave of big-name football stars moving to the Saudi Pro League in the following summer.

Many fans hoped this transfer would help Ronaldo close the gap with his long-time rival Lionel Messi in terms of trophies won, but that did not happen.

Since Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr, the team has failed to win a single official trophy and has fallen out of contention for the Saudi Pro League title in the last two seasons. They also failed to reach the later stages of the AFC Champions League and lost the King’s Cup.

The only trophy Al-Nassr won with Ronaldo was the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup, which is considered an unofficial competition. This has led a section of the club’s fans to take a negative stance against the former Real Madrid legend.

In response to one of Ronaldo’s posts on X (formerly Twitter), an Al-Nassr fan wrote a message that resonated with many other supporters: “We don’t want you in the lineup for the next game.”

Another angry fan wrote: “Please leave. Al-Nassr doesn’t want you anymore.”

Another user added: “You’ve achieved a lot in your football career. Yes, we know that. We know your history too. But you haven’t done anything for us so far, and we know you won’t in the future. So please leave the club and go back to Portugal, where you always wanted to be. You’ll enjoy it there.”

Another supporter added: “Brother, you’re holding Al-Nassr back. Please retire, thank you.”
