Barcelona is Terrifying, Only Inter Can Handle Them

Ahead of tonight’s match between Inter and Barcelona in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, Inter’s strong performance in the first leg suggests that Hansi Flick’s Barcelona, despite being dominant for much of the season, cannot be considered the outright winner.

Daniel Bertoni, who won the 1978 World Cup with Argentina, stated that the Inter he has seen this season has what it takes to overcome Flick’s Barcelona. Bertoni also noted that Barcelona is truly terrifying in attack and that he hasn’t seen such a fearsome team in football for a long time.

Bertoni in an exclusive interview with Tuttomercato: “Inter has one of the toughest tasks in the world tonight because they are facing the most terrifying team in football. I haven’t seen a team as fearsome in attack as this Barcelona in a long time. They have players who perform magic with the ball. If you exclude Barcelona’s defensive line, they have the ability from midfield to attack to destroy any opponent. But my point is not that Inter has no chance. In the first leg, we saw how well they managed to survive that hell. In fact, Barcelona has many weaknesses in defense, especially in aerial duels. Lautaro Martinez can definitely exploit them and reach the final. Why am I saying this? I wouldn’t say this about any team. The reason is that Inter has shown how tough they are. A team that fights until they get the result they want.”
