Barcelona Unveils Special Jersey for El Clásico (Photos)
Barcelona has collaborated with one of America’s most famous singers for the match against Real Madrid.
Barcelona will unveil a unique and exclusive jersey for the upcoming El Clásico, set to take place at the Montjuïc Stadium. The usual Spotify logo will be replaced with the name of one of today’s biggest music figures, a move that has precedent in previous La Liga matches.
Barcelona officially announced this news moments ago. Previously, artists such as Drake, Rosalía, The Rolling Stones, Carol G, and Coldplay have been featured in similar collaborations. This time, it’s the turn of Travis Scott, the renowned American singer.
In this match, Barcelona’s first-team players will wear jerseys featuring the Cactus Jack logo, founded by Travis Scott. This brand represents not only his music label and fashion collections but also his creative alter ego. The logo will also appear on the jerseys of Barcelona’s women’s team.
Scott is one of the most-streamed artists on Spotify. His music blends various genres, including rap and alternative hip-hop. The singer has over 67 million monthly listeners on the platform, with his songs collectively streamed more than 44 billion times. His work is also popular in Barcelona’s locker room, with many young players, particularly Lamine Yamal, being fans.
Jules Koundé is also a fan of the artist and stated in an interview with the club’s official media: “As someone who has followed Travis’ music for years and values style, I find this collaboration between Spotify and the club highly impactful. Seeing the Cactus Jack logo on our jersey and being part of a project that connects football, fashion, and music is truly inspiring and an honor.”
This jersey is exclusively designed for this match and will be available for purchase through the club’s official channels starting Friday. As usual with such special collaborations, two limited editions will be released: the first includes 1,899 match-quality jerseys, while the second is much rarer, with only 22 produced, signed by key players from both the men’s and women’s teams.
This jersey could become historic, as Barcelona has the chance to secure the La Liga title with a victory over Real Madrid, four weeks before the season ends.
This makes the upcoming El Clásico against Real Madrid particularly special. A match of great importance, where Barcelona will take the field in a fresh and creative kit—one that will undoubtedly win the hearts of collectors and international fans.
