Bayer Leverkusen Eyes Real Madrid’s Alvaro Arbeloa as Xabi Alonso’s Successor!
Alvaro Arbeloa is one of the candidates considered by Bayer Leverkusen’s management to succeed Xabi Alonso.
According to reports, while Real Madrid fans anxiously await the end of the season and the potential arrival of Xabi Alonso as Carlo Ancelotti’s successor, German newspaper Bild claims that Bayer Leverkusen’s management, impressed by Alonso’s success, is seeking a similar figure to replace him. One of their top candidates is Alvaro Arbeloa, currently in charge of Real Madrid’s U19 team.
Bild reports that Bayer Leverkusen sees Arbeloa as a leading candidate to replace Alonso and will initiate talks with the former Real Madrid defender if Alonso’s departure is confirmed at the end of the season.
Arbeloa’s name has previously been linked with other roles, including Raul’s position at Real Madrid Castilla. However, if Leverkusen makes an official offer, Arbeloa may follow in his former teammate’s footsteps and move to Germany.
Arbeloa began his coaching career in Real Madrid’s youth system after retiring from football and has achieved notable success, including winning the Spanish youth league. Interestingly, he was once considered a potential successor to Carlo Ancelotti.
