Bayern Munich Honors Thomas Müller’s Final Game at Allianz Arena
Bayern Munich has paid a special tribute to Thomas Müller ahead of his final game at the Allianz Arena by designing corner flags with his iconic number 25.
Bayern Munich’s match against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the 33rd round of the Bundesliga was marked by Thomas Müller’s last appearance at the Allianz Arena. Fans of the Bavarian giants gave a heartfelt farewell to their legendary number 25.
In addition to the fans’ relentless cheers, Bayern Munich prepared a special tribute by redesigning the corner flags with Müller’s number 25—a first in German football history.
The club’s gesture wasn’t limited to the corner flags. Supporters in the stadium also unveiled a massive tifo featuring Müller’s image, leaving the emotional forward visibly moved. Before kickoff, club officials presented him with a commemorative plaque featuring his picture and all the trophies he has won with Bayern.
Interestingly, manager Vincent Kompany included Müller in the starting lineup, giving him one last chance to score in front of Bayern’s passionate fans at the Allianz Arena.
Since 2008, Müller has played 501 Bundesliga matches at the stadium, scoring 150 goals. This game marks his 30th appearance of the season, offering him another opportunity to add to his tally.
