Brazil’s Decision Devastates Jorge Jesus
Jorge Jesus is deeply upset that Carlo Ancelotti has been chosen as the next head coach of Brazil instead of him.
According to Brazilian and Portuguese sources, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has not provided any explanation to Jorge Jesus regarding this decision.
The selection of Carlo Ancelotti as the next head coach of the Brazilian national team has sparked mixed reactions. However, as reported by Brazilian outlet UOL, Jorge Jesus, who was one of the candidates for the position, is extremely disappointed by this decision.
According to the report, Ednaldo Rodrigues, the president of the CBF, last spoke with Jesus on Thursday and hoped negotiations would reach a conclusion. However, he delayed the decision to finalize the appointment of the Italian coach, despite being advised to act quickly.
Since that conversation, the CBF has not contacted Jesus again and has not provided any explanation for choosing Ancelotti. Jesus has expressed his frustration to close associates, especially after showing enthusiasm for coaching the Brazilian national team and emphasizing that his past disagreement with Neymar (related to Neymar’s departure from Al-Hilal) would not hinder their collaboration in the national team.
Although Jesus was considered the top candidate to succeed Tite at one point, the CBF president’s long-standing desire to hire Ancelotti, coupled with concerns about potential conflicts between Jesus and Neymar, led to Ancelotti’s appointment.
According to UOL, Jesus preferred to negotiate directly with the CBF without intermediaries (except for his son). In contrast, negotiations with Ancelotti were handled by Diego Fernandes, the CBF’s financial and investment operations director, and ultimately, only Ancelotti received an official offer.
