£500k Weekly Wage for United Star with Victory!

According to reports, Casemiro’s future at Old Trafford has been uncertain this season, as Manchester United seeks to remove his £375k weekly wage from their payroll.

It seemed Casemiro had lost his place under manager Ricardo Sá Pinto, who at one point preferred young Toby Collyer. However, the Brazilian midfielder has recently regained his spot in United’s lineup, particularly shining in the Europa League.

After a period of inconsistent performances and speculation about his future, Casemiro has played a key role in United’s Europa League success, scoring twice in the 7-1 aggregate semifinal victory over Athletic Bilbao. His contract runs until 2026, and if United defeats Tottenham in the final on May 21, he stands to benefit financially.

The Daily Star reports that if Manchester United qualifies for the Champions League next season, Casemiro’s weekly wage will increase by 25%, bringing him close to £500k per week—similar to Cristiano Ronaldo’s earnings during his second stint at the club.

This potential wage hike comes as co-owner Jim Ratcliffe aims to reduce the club’s wage bill. In March, Ratcliffe named Casemiro as one of six players either not performing well enough or being overpaid.
