Casemiro, in an interview with Manchester United’s club television ahead of the second leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao, praised the Manchester United fans in a special way.

Having played in some of the biggest stadiums in the world, he believes the atmosphere at Old Trafford and the support from the fans is beyond ordinary. Casemiro spoke about the unparalleled impact of the fans during tough moments and the team’s successes.

Casemiro told United Review: “We really need to talk about this and appreciate it more. The support from the fans is not normal, it’s unbelievable.” He referenced Manchester United’s challenging season in the Premier League, where the team is in the middle of the table, adding: “When you’re not winning, staying loyal and supporting the team is hard. In the league, we’re not where we should be, and we’re not playing well, but the fans are incredible. Their support is not normal.”

Casemiro specifically mentioned Manchester United’s recent match against Lyon in the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals, which ended in a 3-2 victory for his team. He said: “The night of the Lyon match was unforgettable in my career, an unbelievable game. The fans are always behind us, whether we play well or not.”

The 33-year-old midfielder, who has played in Real Madrid finals and experienced stadiums like the Bernabéu, Wembley, and San Siro, emphasized that the atmosphere at Old Trafford is unique: “When I go home, I talk to my family or close ones about the feeling of United fans. I can only say this from the bottom of my heart: thank you so much.”
 
Casemiro highlighted the crucial role of fans in the team’s success: “Without their support, everything would have been much harder. To all those who come to the stadium for matches and to the whole city, I say: this is something unbelievable. All I can say is thank you, thank you so much.”
