Bilbao Never Surrenders
Casemiro’s Concern: Nothing is Over Yet
Casemiro says Manchester United’s job to reach the Europa League final is not yet done.
Manchester United faced Athletic Bilbao last night in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals and managed to secure a brilliant 3-0 away victory, putting them on the verge of reaching the final of the competition.
Casemiro delivered a stellar performance in the heart of Manchester United’s midfield and was widely praised by experts, United fans, and football enthusiasts for his outstanding display. However, the Brazilian midfielder, who has won the Champions League five times with Real Madrid, emphasized that this first leg was only half the battle and the job is not yet finished.
When asked in an interview with Movistar+ whether United had already secured their place in the final, he replied: “No, definitely not. I’m sending this message because nothing is over yet. I know Athletic Bilbao very well, and I know they have great players in their squad.
We must show great respect for such an opponent, and on behalf of United and all the team members, I want us to respect them as serious competitors because they never surrender, and that’s something we must remember.”
