According to reports, not only Chelsea fans but also the players remain upset with Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese star was sent off in the first half of the match against Newcastle, which ended in a 2-0 defeat for Chelsea, due to unsporting behavior.

While the referee initially missed the incident, VAR intervened and revealed that Nicolas Jackson had elbowed Sean Botman in the face. The referee showed Jackson a straight red card.

The Sun reports that Chelsea players are still angry with Jackson. They believe he unnecessarily reduced the team to 10 men early in the game, leading to the loss against Newcastle, and are further frustrated that Jackson has not apologized to them after the match.

Interestingly, The Sun states that Chelsea’s management has backed their striker. When club officials noticed the players’ anger over Jackson’s lack of apology, they intervened during a training session, telling the squad that such incidents are natural in football and that Jackson’s apology was unnecessary.

The Sun adds that Chelsea’s officials urged the players to move past their frustration, especially as the team prepares for the Conference League final and is on the verge of winning a trophy. They asked the players to maintain team unity, emphasizing that Jackson would make up for his red card against Newcastle by scoring in the final.
