Dani Olmo: We Won Two Titles, We Want the Other Two

Barcelona will face Inter Milan in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. The first leg ended in a 3-3 draw.

Dani Olmo, in a press conference after the match alongside coach Hansi Flick, answered reporters’ questions.

How does it feel to play at Giuseppe Meazza?

We have great motivation to play in such a stadium. It’s special for every player.

What is the key to winning such matches?

Everything comes down to teamwork and unity. The matches we played against direct rivals were mostly due to our collective efforts.

    Ambition?

I came to Barcelona to be a champion, and now we have two more trophies ahead of us, having already won two. I feel good, happy, motivated, and ready to help the team. I always believed we could get here. We are fully committed to the coach’s plans. Playing in such a stadium gives us great motivation, and this opportunity doesn’t come every year.

How is the team’s physical condition?

We’ve returned in good form. Rest plays a big role, and I see the team energetic and motivated.

What do you think about Lamine Yamal?

Everything is normal for us. We know what kind of player he is, and that’s the most important thing. I’m not surprised by his performances because I’ve seen what he can do many times. He’s calm and ready to show why he’s the best.

Are you not worried about the pressure on Yamal?

No, if the focus is on him, the other players remain free on the pitch. He has already proven he can handle one, two, or even three defenders. Our approach won’t change.

Is this the most important match of your career?

This is a great opportunity. I’ve played in the semifinals before against Paris Saint-Germain in Lisbon, and now I have another chance. This is a historic moment that gives us great motivation.

What about the team registration issue?

The decision I made was worth it. I never regretted it. I was 100% sure from the beginning. It was just administrative matters, and now we’re here for the team.

What’s the atmosphere in the dressing room like?

In the end, it’s like a celebration. The presence of young players reduces the pressure. They don’t take everything too seriously, but we experienced players are here to guide them. We have a healthy and united group with a common goal: winning.

What about La Masia’s impact on the team?

La Masia shows we have the best academy system in the world. The fact that so many players have risen from the youth ranks to the first team speaks volumes.

    Hansi Flick’s working style?

He knows exactly what he wants and has a clear vision for the team. I think we’ve done well so far. We fully trust him.
