Bayern Munich missed the chance to secure their 34th Bundesliga title after a dramatic 3-3 draw against RB Leipzig in the 32nd matchday. Despite leading 3-2 late in the game, a last-minute goal from Yussuf Poulsen denied them an early celebration. The atmosphere in the team was far from victorious.

The players returned to Munich to a cold reception at the Säbener Straße training ground, reflecting the disappointment and silence within the squad. Key players like Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, Serge Gnabry, and Aleksandar Pavlović arrived at 9:22 PM via private flights.

Unlike usual celebrations, no loud music or drinks were heard from the team bus. The players walked in heavy silence to the underground parking lot to return home in their Audi electric cars.

The fan reception was minimal, with only four supporters and seven autograph hunters waiting in the dark. This was a stark contrast to the lively welcomes seen in cities like Dortmund or Frankfurt.

Even these few fans missed seeing the players as the bus entered through the back gate. Only João Palhinha, the €49.5 million summer signing from Fulham, and third-choice goalkeeper Daniel Peretz were spotted.

The coaching staff, including Vincent Kompany and his assistants, arrived seven minutes later, but there was no sign of celebration. The mood was somber after the late equalizer.

Sporting director Max Eberl had previously canceled the team’s planned trip to Ibiza, emphasizing the club’s focus on the final weeks of the season. Bayern leads with 76 points from 32 games, nine ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, and has a far superior goal difference (+61 vs. Leverkusen’s +31). However, the draw left a bitter taste.
