Emotional Farewell: Jorge Jesus Leaves Al Hilal with a Heartfelt Message
Jorge Jesus attended Al Hilal’s training session for the last time to bid farewell to his former players before leaving Saudi Arabia permanently.
Perhaps even the most pessimistic Al Hilal fans a year ago would not have imagined that Jorge Jesus would be dismissed after failing to win titles and a painful exit from the AFC Champions League.
The dismissal finally took place, closing the chapter on the experienced Portuguese coach’s two-year tenure at Al Hilal, with Al Shehri taking over as interim coach until the end of the season.
Jorge Jesus attended Al Hilal’s training session earlier to say goodbye to his former players, holding an emotional farewell ceremony with all the players present, ending his glorious era at Al Hilal on a high note.
Shortly after the training session, Jesus shared images of his warm interactions with Al Hilal players on his Instagram page, writing: “A day full of intense emotions! Saying goodbye to the players was a very special moment.
With this incredible team, we achieved historic moments. I thank you for every moment and the intense emotions we experienced together. Thank you for making me feel at home. I will keep each of you in my heart. You were and are an exceptional group.”
It is worth noting that Jesus managed Al Hilal in 99 matches, resulting in 80 wins, 10 draws, and 9 losses. Under his leadership, Al Hilal won the Saudi Professional League twice and the King’s Cup once.
