According to reports, Bayer Leverkusen slipped up against Freiburg on Sunday, allowing Bayern Munich to clinch the title, with Harry Kane celebrating his first professional trophy.

Bayern Munich posted on social media X: “No words are enough.” Shortly after, Harry Kane shared a 27-second video from the team’s luxurious celebration dinner, where players sang along to the classic “We Are the Champions” while enjoying drinks.

English media also reacted to the event, congratulating their national team striker while targeting his critics.

ESPN: “Harry Kane’s trophy drought ended with Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga triumph. The long wait for his first major career trophy is finally over.”

Daily Mail: “At 31, Harry Kane has finally won his first professional trophy. The striker posted a golden trophy emoji in his Instagram story.”

The Telegraph: “This trophy should silence all those fools who said Harry Kane would never win anything. For years, Kane was willing to trade all his individual records for one major trophy. Now, alongside his personal accolades, he has a champion’s medal to cement his place among the greatest players of his generation.”

The Sun: “Can you believe it? Kane has finally won his first trophy! It was a painfully long wait for England’s captain.”

BBC: “Despite all his goals and individual honors, Harry Kane had long been criticized for lacking silverware. After six final defeats, the perseverance of this humble but determined striker has finally paid off.”

Harry Kane, England’s captain, had failed to win any trophies at the professional level until Sunday, despite his brilliant performances.

At the international level, he suffered two Euro final defeats with England, and at the club level, he lost the 2019 Champions League final with Tottenham against Liverpool. Even in his first season at Bayern, the club’s 11-year Bundesliga winning streak was broken.

However, on Sunday, Bayern celebrated their 34th German league title after their main rivals Bayer Leverkusen drew 2-2 against Freiburg in the 32nd matchweek. Bayern posted on social media: “We’re back where we belong.” The championship trophy will be awarded to Bayern after their final home game of the season against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
