Today, several Flamengo players from Brazil were targeted in an armed attack, with bullets hitting the car of the team’s goalkeeper.

The Flamengo squad, returning from a Copa Libertadores Group C match against Central Cordoba in Argentina, faced this attack upon arrival in Rio.
Flamengo released a statement confirming that the car of Agustín Rossi, the team’s goalkeeper, was hit by four bullets while traveling on one of Rio de Janeiro’s highways.
Flamengo described the incident as serious and terrifying but confirmed that none of the players were injured, and they managed to reach their homes safely.
Brazil’s military police also issued a statement, confirming that officers are currently conducting search operations in the area to apprehend the attackers.
