Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo, he said: “Right now, I feel completely empty. I think we made an incredible comeback, just like we’ve done several times this season. But when you concede a goal with just two minutes left, it’s really hard to accept.”

The Dutch midfielder emphasized that there was no special discussion among the players in the second half, as the focus was on continuing their usual style of play: “We said we had to stick to our usual approach. We played well, though we didn’t create many clear chances. We could have controlled the game better, but we stuck to what we were doing and managed to come back. Things were going our way, but then they scored.”

Finally, he admitted that he probably wouldn’t watch this match again: “I usually don’t watch full matches, just the highlights where I was involved. Rewatching this game will be really tough.”
