Threats Started Very Early
From the Third Minute, Marciniak Attacked Our Bench!
Enric Masip, advisor to Barcelona president Joan Laporta, strongly criticized the Polish referee of the Inter-Barça match.
According to reports, a year before the La Liga Clásico, former stars of Barcelona and Real Madrid gathered in a tournament featuring golf and paddle challenges.
Enric Masip, advisor to Barcelona’s president and member of the club’s sports management team, joined the wave of criticism against the refereeing in Barcelona’s match against Inter. Masip stated: “From the third minute, after a harsh foul on Lamine Yamal, the referee came towards our bench very aggressively, told Flick to step aside, and started threatening. I think the threat was directed at Araújo.”
The former handball player added: “Considering what we saw from this referee in Milan and who was in the VAR room, sometimes these incidents are not accidental. The truth is that their management of the entire game was very difficult. It’s true that the easiest thing now is to criticize referees, but when we talk about standards, they should be the same for everyone.”
Looking ahead to the upcoming decisive Clásico on Sunday, Masip said: “That match is over, and now we have a very important game that will determine a large part of La Liga. This match is ahead of us, and we are facing physical fatigue, while Real Madrid has had a week without a game. However, I think the team will take the field with a winning mentality, motivated, and ready to rise to the occasion in tough conditions.”
