Barcelona to Face Vissel Kobe in July
Hans-Dieter Flick Chooses Japan for Pre-Season Camp
Japanese club Vissel Kobe has announced that Barcelona will play a friendly match against them in July.
According to reports, Vissel Kobe is still globally recognized as the club that once had Andrés Iniesta. Although Iniesta no longer plays for Vissel Kobe, the strong relationship between the two clubs remains intact.
Vissel Kobe announced today that this summer, to mark the 30th anniversary of the club’s founding, a friendly match between Barcelona and Vissel Kobe will be held.
The match is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 27, at the Noevir Stadium in Kobe.
In addition to the match where Barcelona’s first team, led by Hans-Dieter Flick, will face Vissel Kobe, a game between Barcelona legends and Vissel Kobe legends is also planned. It appears that Iniesta will participate in this exhibition match to reunite with the city that adores him.
This will be the second meeting between Vissel Kobe and Barcelona. The two teams previously played a friendly in Kobe in the summer of 2019. Barcelona will also spend part of their pre-season tour in Asia this summer, with a segment in Japan.
