Historic Transfer in Bundesliga: Bayern Reaches Agreement with Wirtz!
Bayern Munich has reached an agreement with Florian Wirtz, the star of Bayer Leverkusen, and the player will join Vincent Kompany’s squad.
According to reports, a major breakthrough has been made in a crucial Bundesliga transfer! Based on information from Bild, Bayern Munich and Florian Wirtz have reached an agreement for the player’s transfer!
The first step has been taken, and now the only question is: When will the transfer be finalized? So far, no direct negotiations have taken place between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, where Wirtz is under contract until 2027.
One thing is now clear: Wirtz will neither renew his contract with Leverkusen nor consider offers from clubs like Real Madrid or Manchester City.
Currently, there are two scenarios:
First Scenario: Wirtz joins Bayern this summer. This option is preferred by both parties. Reports suggest Bayern is preparing an offer worth around €100 million, which will soon be submitted to Leverkusen.
Second Scenario: If Bayern and Leverkusen fail to agree on a transfer this summer, Wirtz has promised to wait another year. In the summer of 2026, Leverkusen will have to sell him to receive a transfer fee, as his contract expires in 2027, allowing him to leave for free.
Bayern has not responded to inquiries about the matter. Last week, Bild reported a meeting between Max Eberl, Bayern’s sporting director, and Hans-Joachim Wirtz, Florian’s father, in March.
From Bayern’s perspective, the club now has leverage in upcoming negotiations with Fernando Carro, Leverkusen’s CEO, and Simon Rolfes, the team’s sporting director, to reduce the transfer fee below €100 million in 2026.
Bayern and Wirtz have reached an agreement, and now the battle over the final transfer fee between Munich and Leverkusen begins!
