All-out effort pays off
Inter’s Big Surprise: Lautaro Martinez Set to Face Barcelona
It appears that Lautaro Martinez is ready to start for Inter in their match against Barcelona.
According to reports, Martinez’s availability for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal against Barcelona will be determined at the last minute, depending on his body’s response to final recovery sessions.
However, optimism prevails in Milan. The Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport confidently reported: “Lautaro will be on the pitch against Barça. The Argentine striker has reserved his place in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s match.”
Sky Sport Italia also reported on Lautaro Martinez’s condition, who has scored eight goals in this season’s Champions League: “The general feeling is that Lautaro will be available for Tuesday’s match against Barcelona. He is doing everything possible to be ready: double training sessions, physical work, and recovery programs. He is highly motivated to play.”
Lautaro himself has sparked optimism among Inter fans with a social media post. He shared an image of his intense gym workouts on Instagram, signaling his determination to return. The post included an hourglass emoji and a fully charged battery, clearly indicating his readiness for the crucial match against Barça.
Inter, however, remained ambiguous in a statement released last Friday, neither confirming nor ruling out Lautaro’s participation. The medical statement read: “Clinical tests and imaging conducted this morning confirm a left thigh muscle strain for Lautaro. His condition will be evaluated daily.”
Overall, all signs point to an all-out effort to get Lautaro ready for Inter’s most important match of the season—a game that could pave the way to the final for the Nerazzurri.
