Jordi Alba Extends Contract with Inter Miami Until 2027
Jordi Alba, the 36-year-old left-back of Inter Miami, has extended his contract with the club until 2027.
According to reports, Inter Miami, currently struggling under the management of Javier Mascherano and sitting mid-table in the MLS, has extended Jordi Alba’s contract until 2027.
The news was officially announced by Inter Miami’s social media channels, confirming that the former Barcelona left-back will continue wearing Inter Miami’s jersey until the end of the 2026-27 season.
The 36-year-old Alba has been with Inter Miami since 2023 and has played in 44 matches, scoring five goals during this period.
Despite the poor performances of most of Inter Miami’s stars this season, Alba has had a strong showing, providing four assists in eleven MLS matches.
It is worth noting that Inter Miami will compete in the Club World Cup next month against Egypt’s Al Ahly, Porto, and Palmeiras. As a result, the club’s management is looking to strengthen the squad ahead of the tournament.
Additionally, reports suggest that contracts of other key players, including Lionel Messi, are likely to be extended for another two years. Inter Miami currently sits in fifth place in the Eastern Conference table with 22 points from twelve matches.
