Benzema surpasses Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia

Karim Benzema, the French striker of Al-Ittihad, has extended his lead over Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese star of Al-Nassr, in a special competition in the Saudi Pro League.

Benzema managed to score Al-Ittihad’s first goal against Al-Nassr on Wednesday at “Old Park” stadium in the 30th round of the Saudi Pro League. This goal marked his 19th goal of the season, propelling him to third place in the league’s top scorers chart.

Benzema is now tied with Abdelrazak Hamdallah, the Moroccan striker of Al-Shabab, and Julián Quiñones, the Mexican striker of Al-Qadsiah, in the top scorers chart. All three players have scored 19 goals, just one goal behind Ivan Toney, the English striker of Al-Ahli, who is in second place with 20 goals.

    Benzema and Ronaldo stats

Cristiano Ronaldo still leads the league’s top scorers chart with 23 goals. However, Benzema has surpassed Ronaldo in another competition: the race for the most impactful players of the current season.

Benzema has directly contributed to 28 of Al-Ittihad’s goals (19 goals and 9 assists), while Ronaldo has 26 contributions (23 goals and 3 assists), placing him in second place. These statistics show that the French striker has had a more effective individual performance overall compared to the Portuguese superstar.
