Bayern Munich will host Borussia Mönchengladbach tomorrow at the Allianz Arena in the 33rd round of the Bundesliga.

Vincent Kompany, whose team secured the title after Bayer Leverkusen’s draw against Freiburg, now has the opportunity to celebrate this achievement with the fans.

The Bayern Munich head coach attended a press conference ahead of Saturday’s match, discussing Manuel Neuer’s return, Thomas Müller’s farewell game, Leroy Sané’s future, and winning the championship.

When asked if preparations for tomorrow’s match were different due to the confirmed title win, he said:“This week was like every other week. We prepared very well because this game is important to us. We want to win this match; it’s Thomas Müller’s last game at the Allianz Arena. It’s a day of celebration for everyone. We want a perfect Sunday. It won’t be easy; we’re facing a strong opponent.”

How emotional will tomorrow’s game be?

It will definitely be very emotional. I don’t know if the emotions will be stronger for Thomas or those around him. These are big moments; I’ve experienced them myself. I know Thomas well; he’s still a fighter who always wants to show what we’re capable of. He has a very special relationship with the fans.

Who will lift the trophy tomorrow—Neuer as captain, Müller as a retiring player, or Harry Kane for his first title?

I don’t know who will receive the trophy. The only thing that matters to me is that the trophy stays at Bayern. I’ve only planned the match; I don’t know what happens afterward.

Have you spoken to Sané to convince him to stay?

My priority is always the sporting aspect. We had a conversation about my plans for next season. I don’t interfere in other matters. I understand the player may have concerns; it’s an important phase of his life. What matters to me is that my players perform well, and Leroy has done that.

What does winning the Bundesliga mean for you and Belgian coaches?

Naturally, I’m very happy and grateful. I hope my story inspires many. After my time at Burnley, promotion to the Premier League, and then relegation, now feeling Bayern Munich’s trust and winning the Bundesliga is very special to me. I feel this is just the beginning. I believe a new generation of Belgian coaches is coming; it just takes time.
