We Have the Ability to Beat Leverkusen
Kovac: Dortmund’s Goal is to Secure European Qualification
Niko Kovac, the head coach of Borussia Dortmund, says the team will give their all to secure a victory against Bayer Leverkusen.
Borussia Dortmund will face Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday in the 33rd round of the Bundesliga at Leverkusen’s home stadium, hoping to secure three points and improve their position in the league standings.
Kovac spoke to reporters in a pre-match press conference.
Injuries: Emre Can will not be available for this match. We did not have Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Karim Adeyemi in today’s training, but they will join tomorrow.
Leverkusen’s Quality: We are aware of Leverkusen’s high quality, but we have our own plans for this match. We want to win at all costs.
Dortmund’s Recent Form: I am very satisfied with our recent performances. Moving from 11th to 4th would be a great achievement. If we execute our training plans correctly, we can secure European qualification. That is our goal.
The Challenge Against Leverkusen: Playing at Leverkusen is very difficult, but they know we have improved significantly in recent weeks. We need a good day on the pitch, but if we give our all, I believe we have the ability to win.
