Lionel Messi to Sell His Best Career Goal!
Lionel Messi will, for the first time, reveal the best goal of his football career. This selection is part of a charity project titled “One Goal in Life” in collaboration with renowned artist Refik Anadol.
According to reports, Lionel Messi, the Barcelona legend and current Inter Miami star widely regarded as the greatest footballer of all time, will select the best goal from over 800 he has scored in his professional career.
This selection is part of the “One Goal in Life” charity project, supported by the Inter Miami Foundation. Artist Refik Anadol will transform Messi’s chosen goal into a digital data-based artwork.
The final piece will be unveiled on June 11 in New York by Christie’s auction house and will be signed by both Messi and Anadol. The auction will run until July 25, with proceeds going to charity.
From Football to Education: The Project’s Ultimate Goal
The proceeds will fund charitable programs, including a collaboration between the Inter Miami Foundation and UNICEF, aimed at improving access to quality education in five Latin American and Caribbean countries.
Messi will officially announce his selected goal on May 22 at 11 AM Miami time via the Inter Miami Foundation’s social media channels.
The artistic project, creatively directed by Javier Roca and overseen by art expert Zimena Kaminos, will feature Morgan Freeman narrating the English version and Argentine actor Guillermo Francella narrating the Spanish version.
