Tsimikas in love with Anfield and the red shirt
Liverpool defender immortalizes championship on his arm!
Kostas Tsimikas, who has tattooed Liverpool’s championship celebration on his body, talks about the team’s triumph under Arne Slot and his future at Liverpool.
According to reports, Kostas Tsimikas was among the Liverpool players celebrating on the Anfield pitch this Sunday, as the club secured its 20th English league title.
When the final whistle blew in Liverpool’s match against Tottenham, confirming the Reds’ championship, Tsimikas was one of the most visibly joyful players, with his celebratory moves capturing media and fan attention. His dance with a cardboard replica of the Premier League trophy in front of the Anfield stands became a viral moment.
Tsimikas today revealed a new tattoo in an interview with Liverpool Echo. The tattoo commemorates another Liverpool triumph—their FA Cup victory under Jürgen Klopp in the 2021-2022 season. Tsimikas has inked a newspaper clipping onto his arm, highlighting his role in that victory. The clipping reads: “Tsimikas brought the cup home to Liverpool.”
Tsimikas told Liverpool Echo: “I worked really hard for that FA Cup win, and I couldn’t forget it. That’s why I decided to carry it with me forever. Our recent title win was just a few days ago. It’s still fresh, and I need time to fully process it. Right now, I’m just incredibly happy. I’m proud to be part of this great club. Four years ago, I couldn’t even dream of having my name etched in this club’s history.”
When asked about his future, Tsimikas said: “I know what I want, but these things aren’t one-sided. I have a great relationship with Arne Slot, and I think he appreciates my football. For now, we should all enjoy this historic title. When the time comes, we’ll talk.”
