According to reports, Paul, after being involved in a legal dispute over energy drinks with Lionel Messi, suggested that their differences could be settled in a boxing ring—a claim that sparked significant controversy.

Messi never responded to the joke, but Yassine Chueko, Messi’s personal bodyguard and a former U.S. Navy SEAL, declared his readiness to step into the ring if Paul was serious about fighting someone from Messi’s camp. According to close sources, the offer was entirely serious, and even the conditions for the fight were discussed.

However, Paul is currently occupied with many commitments and does not intend to put on boxing gloves again anytime soon. He is fully focused on his WWE career and has even turned down lucrative financial offers to dedicate himself entirely to professional wrestling.

In an interview with WWE’s official YouTube channel, he stated: “I have dedicated my life to becoming a WWE superstar. I won’t pursue any other opportunities. I was offered $15 million to fight Messi’s bodyguard—a tempting and cool offer… but I am a WWE superstar.
