Manchester United in the Champions League: No, we are not ready!

According to reports, Rúben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, admitted that his team is not ready to compete simultaneously in the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League next season.

Despite this admission, he emphasized that the Red Devils will give their all to win the Europa League to secure a spot in the next season’s Champions League, the most prestigious club competition in the world.

Manchester United has suffered its 16th defeat in the Premier League, their worst performance in 35 years, but in the Europa League, they are one step closer to the final after a 3-0 away win against Athletic Bilbao at San Mamés in the first leg of the semifinals.

Amorim said: “We are not ready to compete in both the Premier League and the Champions League simultaneously. We know this, but we must fight to win this competition (Europa League) to give a gift to our fans and qualify for the Champions League.”

He added: “After that, we will have time to prepare the team to manage both competitions. So, yes, it’s a dilemma, but of course, we want to win.”
