Kovacic, speaking in high spirits ahead of the final, said he does not accept that the season was terrible for City and will end terribly. He said City will win a trophy and their performance will be better than many other teams. He claims that after winning the FA Cup, it can be said that City even ended the season well.

This comes as Manchester City suddenly suffered an incredible decline from around the middle of the season, for example, winning only one game in nine Premier League matches during a period. But Kovacic prefers to think about the match against Crystal Palace at Wembley and possibly lifting the championship trophy. The Croatian star said: “This season was not very good, but we can end it well. We will win the FA Cup and go to the Club World Cup in high spirits, where we will have another chance.”

The Croatian star of City added: “I don’t mean that City is satisfied with this because we are a team that always strives to improve and rise higher. But also note this: there are many teams that were good this season, as you say, but ended up without a trophy. We will win a trophy, so it can be said that we were better than many good teams.”
