Chuko Seeks Fight with Paul
Messi’s Bodyguard Won’t Back Down: Let’s Fight!
Yasin Chuko, Lionel Messi’s bodyguard, is still pursuing a fight with Logan Paul.
According to reports, Chuko, a professional MMA fighter, has warned Paul—whom he calls “Lulu, the king of excuses”—that he will knock him out and demanded that Paul sign the fight contract soon.
Initially, Logan Paul challenged Messi to a fight amid a legal dispute between his beverage brand Prime and Messi’s brand Mas+. Chuko, who reportedly has a background in the U.S. Navy SEALs, offered to step in instead of Messi. However, reports suggest Paul rejected a $15 million boxing offer and instead proposed a no-gloves, no-mouthguard street fight in Puerto Rico.
This bodyguard, hired exclusively by Inter Miami owner David Beckham to protect Messi, is clearly dissatisfied. He posted a video of himself training shirtless on Instagram, directly addressing Paul: “Listen, Lulu, your blonde hair is hilarious! Why so angry? Lulu, cut the act. Now, sign the contract, Lulu. Stop making excuses. What’s next? You’ll say you’re an astronaut and we should fight on the moon? Lulu, stop the excuses and sign the contract. But I promise I won’t knock you out in the first round. I’ll take it easy, Lulu.”
The entire controversy stems from a legal dispute between Logan Paul and KSI’s beverage brand Prime and Messi’s brand Mas+, a healthy alternative to hydration drinks. Messi launched his hydration drink in June 2024, and many immediately pointed out similarities with Prime.
According to a lawsuit filed in October by Mark Anthony International, the distributor of Mas+, Prime quickly claimed that Messi’s product design infringed on their trademark. Meanwhile, Mas+ countersued, seeking a ruling that Messi’s drink did not violate any designs and was not a copy of Prime.
