Santiago Gimenez and Christian Pulisic believe Milan is ready to win their second trophy this season.

AC Milan secured a 4-0 victory against Bologna last night, marking their fourth consecutive win in all competitions. However, this positive streak may have come too late to improve their Serie A standings.

Similar to last week’s match against Genoa, Milan needed a spark to get into the game. They initially fell behind due to a goal from Riccardo Orsolini but turned things around with a brace from Gimenez and a goal from Pulisic, ultimately winning 3-1.

This is the best possible preparation for the Coppa Italia final, which will also be against Bologna and is set to take place on May 14th at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Gimenez told Sky Sport Italia: “Wednesday is a very important match for us. We are ready, entering this game with four consecutive wins, and we are fully prepared for this final.”

He added: “The decision lies with the coach, and we respect that. But whether we start or come off the bench, everyone must be ready.”

Milan has earned 22 points from comebacks in Serie A this season, with 19 of those points coming under the management of Sergio Conceicao. The switch to a three-man defense has been a turning point, as they have only lost once (against Atalanta) since then.

Christian Pulisic told Sky Sport Italia: “We have found stability, and that is very important for us. We know we are a high-spirited team, and right now, we are playing well.”

Sergio Conceicao previously won the Italian Super Cup in January with a comeback victory over Inter in Saudi Arabia. Now, the question is whether winning the Coppa Italia can salvage their season. Pulisic added: “If we win two trophies in one season, it can no longer be called an ordinary season. We want to continue this path.”

“However, we are not satisfied with our current position in the Serie A table, but we are performing well now, and the important thing is to finish the season in the best possible way.”
