New Problem for Flick: Gavi Added to Injury List!
Gavi, Barcelona’s star, suffered an injury during the victory against Real Valladolid.
According to reports, Barcelona faced Real Valladolid in a match where several key players, including Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, were rested to prepare for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal against Inter Milan.
In the first half, Valladolid took a 1-0 lead, and Dani Rodríguez, Barcelona’s young star making his debut, suffered a shoulder injury and was replaced by Lamine Yamal.
However, Gavi was not the only Barcelona player injured in the match. In the second half, they came back and took a 2-1 lead with goals from Raphinha and Fermín López within six minutes. But in the 79th minute, Gavi, who appeared to have suffered a muscle injury, suddenly grabbed his leg and sat down.
The referee called the medical staff onto the pitch after assessing his condition, and they confirmed that the young midfielder could not continue. Eric García replaced him.
Currently, Jules Koundé is definitely ruled out for the return leg against Inter. Additionally, the status of Gavi, Alejandro Balde, and Robert Lewandowski remains uncertain, and Barcelona must wait for tests two days before the match.
