Due to Hatred for Jorge Jesus
Neymar’s Influence: He Made Ancelotti the Coach of Seleção!
Brazilian media claim that Neymar was the key figure in Carlo Ancelotti’s move to the Brazilian national team.
According to reports, while the Brazilian Football Confederation officially announced the signing of Carlo Ancelotti as the new coach, Brazilian media suggest that the federation was close to finalizing a deal with Jorge Jesus in recent days. However, Neymar vetoed this decision.
Neymar had no desire to work with his former coach at Al-Hilal, Jorge Jesus. There is no doubt that Neymar is the happiest about Ancelotti’s appointment. Jesus did not give Neymar enough playing time after his ACL injury recovery, leading to his departure from Al-Hilal and return to Brazil to play for Santos.
Interestingly, many Brazilian fans were in favor of Jesus becoming the national team coach, remembering the outstanding team he built at Flamengo in 2019 and 2020.
Ultimately, while it seemed the Brazilian Football Confederation was ready to sign Jesus, Neymar vetoed the decision. Neymar’s popularity and influence in Brazil are so significant that the federation chose to listen to him and pursue Ancelotti instead.
